Welcome to Class 5
Thank you for visiting our class page.
We are now in Year 2, the oldest children in Key Stage 1 and we are ready for an exciting year. Our teacher this year is Miss Petre and our teaching assistant is Mrs Errington.
We are especially looking forward to being role models for our younger friends in the infants. Our Maths and English topics are going to be challenging and engaging, and we are aiming to try and produce our best work in each lesson.
At the end of this year, the children will be doing the national tests in Reading and Maths: Key Stage One SATs.
Our aim is to make sure that every child gets the support that they need and that everyone enjoys a wide and varied curriculum.
We have created our own class rules and have decided that we are going to try our best this year to make sure everyone in the class is happy.
As we are now the oldest children in Key Stage 1 we are going to be encouraged to complete more of our work independently. We are starting to think for ourselves and remember all of our own things, like our bag and PE kit. We enjoy celebrating achievement in our class. We will be working with parents and carers to recognise our hard work and effort in academic work and spiritual life in school.
This term PE is on a Wednesday Morning and Homework is handed out on a Wednesday expected to be returned on a Tuesday morning. We will have a times table test and spelling test every Tuesday also.
Miss Petre, Mrs Errington and Mrs Kay.
