30 Hours Funded Childcare

At Christ the King School Nursery, we warmly welcome children aged 2–4 years to access our nursery provision. Eligible working parents may be entitled to up to 30 hours of funded childcare per week through the Free Childcare for Working Parents scheme.

Eligibility is determined by HMRC and is based on the individual circumstances of each family. Parents can check their eligibility and apply for the 30 hours entitlement by visiting the government website:

How to Apply

If you believe you are eligible for the 30 hours funded childcare entitlement, please complete the application through the GOV.UK website. Please follow the application process carefully and ensure that all information provided is accurate and up to date.

Once your application has been successfully processed, you will receive an 11-digit eligibility code.

You will then need to provide the school with the following:

·         Your 11-digit eligibility code

·         Your National Insurance number

·         Your child’s birth certificate

·         A completed Parental Declaration Form

The school will use the information provided to verify your eligibility with the Local Authority.

What Happens Next?

Once your eligibility has been successfully verified, we will be able to confirm your child’s funded nursery place and the number of hours available to them.

Eligible children can access up to 30 hours of funded childcare per week, subject to the terms of the funding and the nursery’s available provision. Christ the King School Nursery can confirm an offer of a 30-hour funded place once the school has verified the eligibility code with the Local Authority.

Parents are responsible for ensuring that their eligibility remains valid and that they reconfirm their eligibility when required by HMRC. If your circumstances change, this may affect your eligibility for the funded hours.
