Creativity in RE

We have been very lucky to work with a talented local musician, Joe Hammill, to create some beautiful liturgical and scripture-inspired songs. 

We wanted our own school hymn which was inspired by our school values and mission. Choir wrote a song for our school which we use regularly in our worship. 

After learning about the Prodigal Son, children in Year 6 wrote a song called ‘Unconditional Love’ inspired by this story and the never-ending love Our Father has for us. 

Our children who celebrated their First Holy Communion wrote their own hymn with Joe inspired by the special sacrament they were preparing to receive. 

During the Year of the Word, children wrote a hymn entitled, ‘The God Who Speaks’ detailing His love for us and how he listens to us and guides us on the right path. 

We created the hymn ‘Called to Serve’ which reflects how, as Christians, we are called to serve others.
