Welcome to Class 3
What a fantastic start we have already had in Class 3. This year will be exciting and jam-packed with activities such as exploring our local area in geography and art. Studying the history of toys in history and as we are now a forest school, we will be visiting our school forest every Thursday afternoon for the next four weeks.
As well as our core subjects, we will be embracing our new Creative Curriculum where we will design and make our own moving toys in Design and Technology, putting our fine motor skills to the test. In art we will discover a local artist Lucy Pittaway and explore different techniques.
Religious Education is such an important aspect of our school community. In RE, we will study themes such as families and belonging, signs and symbols the sacrament of Baptism, Judaism and Advent (waiting).
Homework – Spellings will be given out on a Friday every two weeks and returned the following Thursday for a test.
Our PE day is Tuesday afternoon and the Children are expected to wear the full school PE kit, which will be sent home for washing at the end of each half term.
We hope to have an amazing year together, learning lots of new things and growing together.
