Welcome to Class 11

This is a very exciting year for the children as they are now in Upper KS2 and are slowly preparing for that next step into secondary school.

Hello – the Class 11 team would like to welcome you all to our class page.

Our pupils have amazed us so far this year and have made a brilliant start to the school year.

We are looking forward to sharing our progress and achievements.

Our topics this half term are WW1 and WW2. We will be exploring the fascinating ‘Great War’ and how the stalemate led to millions of deaths. Then, we will investigate WW2 and the Homefront and see how Britain was affected during the war. We are loving reading the Silver Donkey by Sonya Hartnett and can’t wait to read Private Peaceful.

Religious Education is such an important aspect of our school community. In RE, we will study themes such as baptism & confirmation which will help us explore the sacraments of the Catholic faith.

This is going to be an exciting and challenging year as we will celebrate our academic successes, our developing skills and growing talents.

Homework will be given out on a Friday and returned on a Thursday via Google Classroom.

Our PE days are Thursday this half term. Children are expected to wear the full school PE kit.
